Chapter 1
Buttercup

Ring ring! The alarm went off and Crenoosy woke up. She turned off the alarm. Today was an exciting day. Crenoosy was going to ride on the Buttercup ship. She and her parents got ready and headed down to the sea to board Buttercup.
Toot! The ship moved and off it rode! At times Buttercup would tip but then the waves would settle down and it would be a smooth ride again. During dinner at least one person a night would spit out their food because they did not like it. Life on the Buttercup was nice and sometimes they would melt butter in a cup for snack. At night the ship would rock back and forth and put all the passengers to sleep very quickly.

Chapter 2
The Storm

In the early morning a storm was throwing Buttercup off track but then the storm died down like the waves did and it was a smooth ride once again. “Iceberg!” yelled the conductor.
Creek! The ship turned hard but still scraped against the iceberg. Then came the tremendous bump and the ship started to sink. By that time all the passengers were awake and on the deck. The captain ran downstairs to get the life boats but to his surprise there were only five life boats! He took the life boats to the deck and loaded as many people as possible.
Chairs were being flung everywhere and only one chair fell into the ocean. Everyone was being flung into the water. The life boats paddled away and the boat was left to sink with many hollering people. Crenoosy and her parents were flung into the water as well. But only Crenoosy landed on the chair.
After the ship had sunk and the life boats were out of sight and everything was gone, she tried to paddle with her hands but it was not easy. She reached into the water and caught fish with her bare hands. She found a stick and used it to cut the fish. She ate the fish very raw. She drank the sea water and that night she slept on the chair.

Chapter 3
The Island

When Crenoosy woke up she was in a small storm. As the storm continued Crenoosy began to see land! When the storm stopped, Crenoosy was a short distance away from an island! She felt a sense of relief.
She paddled over to the island. The chair rocked back and forth while Crenoosy paddled. When she finally made it to the island she felt sad and lonely. She missed her friends, but most of all, she missed her mom and dad. Crenoosy decided that she needed a family so she raced to the children’s adoption center. She met a family and was then adopted by two very nice grownups that had a little boy for Crenoosy to play with. He was just about her age. They became friends and Crenoosy lived a happy life. And that is the end of the tale.
