The Lily Pond Princess Chapters 5/6

Chapter 5 A Race Around the World

Vynilla went to each town and spread all over the world with her friends. As she went around the world, she began to learn new languages. She learned Spanish, English, Danish, Chinese, and a weird kind of animal language called Rackeena. After a race around the world, a reporter came up to Vynilla and put the whole story about getting rid of pollution on the news. This news was spread all around the world and the animals and the pets were able to return back to their homes.
And when this news spread around the world it got to Vynilla’s parents. After Vynilla’s parents saw Vynilla on the news, they recognized her and took an airplane to the closest town near Vynilla. Vynilla was at the first town she had been at. As soon as Vynilla’s parents saw Vynilla, they raced over to her. They explained what had happened to them over the past years. And finally Vynilla got her friends to tell her why they thought her parents were horrible. The answer was, when Vynilla was one her parents littered a lot and used their cars too much which caused pollution. Now Vynilla’s parents loved nature and they only used their cars a little bit. And now Vynilla also realized why Owly’s tree was unusual. It had a bunch of butterflies at the top and these butterflies always spelled the word “nature” whenever Vynilla looked over. Now everything was cleared up and Vynilla was happy. Her parents built a log house in the forest so Vynilla could live with her friends. And finally the best part came...

Chapter 6 Another Friend

A few days after all the commotion Vynilla’s mom and dad had a little boy. They named the boy Banana, after Vynilla’s friend the monkey who had helped Vynilla along the way. Banana was a very cute boy and was always playing with Vynilla and her friends. Now everything was clear to Vynilla and she could finally relax with a happy ending. As for the rest of the world, they tried to use less and less pollution. And Vynilla was never worried again.

The End!!!

The Lily Pond Princess Chapter 4

Chapter 4 The Bunny with the Note

When Vynilla awoke it wasn’t morning. It was still night. A bunny was next to her with a note in its paws. The bunny gave Vynilla the note and said that the world of nature depended on her. Then the bunny hopped off into the night. Vynilla looked down at the note but couldn’t read it because it was in human language, not in animal language. It looked like all it said was “baa baa baa baa baa follow the bunny.” But that was not what the note said at all. But Vynilla did what the note told her to do and ran after the bunny. She ran for a long time until she came to the edge of the forest where there were twinkling lights everywhere. Vynilla followed the bunny down a steep hill and into what we would call a city. Vynilla’s friends did not call this place a city. They called it the “danger castle.”
“Not into the danger castle!” Vynilla whispered to herself. Vynilla followed the bunny though because she did love nature and for all she knew her friends were nature. The bunny hopped into the back yard of a human’s house where it settled down.
Vynilla looked at the bunny surprised. “Shouldn’t it be in nature like all living animals?” she thought. But that thought was disturbed by an overjoyed human coming out from the door.
“I’ve done it!” the overjoyed human yelled. “I’ve polluted the whole earth and now I will rule pollution.” As the human spoke, Vynilla thought of many questions but couldn’t ask them. After the human had left and driven off, Vynilla scampered into the backyard where she asked the bunny lots of questions.
“What are you doing here?” asked the Bunny. “It is too dangerous for a hero like you to be here,” added the bunny.
“Well the note said to follow you,” Vynilla answered.
“No it didn’t. This note is in human writing. It tells you what to do.”
“What do I do?” asked Vynilla.
“I don’t know,” said the Bunny. “I didn’t write this note. I thought you could read human writing because you are a human.”
“Okay, well we just got to figure this out ourselves,” Vynilla said. “What is pollution?” Vynilla asked hurriedly.
“It’s when gas and chemicals go into the nature community,” answered the bunny.
“Not everywhere is polluted. Where my friends live it’s nice and clean.”
“Well we need to send all the animals to that area. They are dying because of that pollution,” said the bunny.
So Vynilla and the bunny split up, going to each house that had a pet and telling the animals to get out and go to the lily pond. By morning, Vynilla and the bunny were more tired than a hippopotamus after a long race. But this was no time to rest. Vynilla and the bunny had to organize the animals and save the world. Vynilla collected her best friends and even got to see Owly and the frogs. Vynilla and her best friends raced off towards the city where they would get rid of pollution.
After a long journey and a long time, Vynilla and her friends had finally reached the third town. They started by getting the pollution out of the streams and ended by getting the pollution out of the air.

The Lily Pond Princess Chapter 3

Chapter 3 A Big Scolding

Banana didn’t speak but carefully picked Vynilla up and took her away. The frogs gulped as if they were about to go to the bottom of the sea and never come up. Banana took Vynilla back to the jungle and didn’t speak to Vynilla. The jungle was big but Banana could find his way home. Banana put Vynilla on the magical jungle leaf. The magical jungle leaf is seven feet long.
Vynilla awoke startled and confused. As she questioned the monkey, she figured out what happened and why Banana was upset.
“Banana, why did you take me away from Owly and the 6 frogs?” Vynilla shyly asked.
“They’re useless!” Banana answered. “Besides, they let you almost drown,” Banana added.
After two hours it was dinnertime. Banana gave Vynilla bananas, pomegranates, and pineapple. Vynilla ate them up quickly and then she laid down on a leaf. She looked up at the sky but the sky didn’t look promising. It looked dark and only a couple of stars were in the sky that night. There was a sliver of a moon but no light coming from it because there was no light in Vynilla. She had a cold heart and was longing to see the rest of her friends. Vynilla dozed off and when she awoke, Banana was gone. Vynilla looked around and saw a lady monkey. After questioning the lady monkey just as she had done to Banana, she figured out that Banana had left to visit her friends and was leaving his sister, Polly, to watch over Vynilla. Vynilla sighed. It just didn’t seem fair. So what if Owly and the frogs made a mistake. Vynilla thought about her life and thought it wouldn’t have been so bad if she had drowned. She might find out what her parents were like and she would never have to wonder anymore.  And she would never have to worry about shelter or about eating. And she would never -
Suddenly Banana appeared and interrupted her thoughts. “Well, I guess Vynilla won’t see her friends again.” This certainly disturbed Vynilla and set off a new bundle of thoughts. As these thoughts flew by, they were interrupted again by Banana saying it was lunchtime. For lunch Vynilla had pomegranates on a mint leaf and after she was finished with the pomegranates she ate the mint leaf. Vynilla’s thoughts went by all day until it was dinner. Then Vynilla didn’t know what to do. She couldn’t think, she couldn’t eat. She was bored. So all Vynilla did after dinner was sleep.

The Lily Pond Princess Chapter 2

Charter 2 An Injury

The frogs jumped out of the pond to give Vynilla more room to swim. The frogs jumped everywhere but were too excited to notice poor Vynilla and her nose going down to the bottom of the pond.  Just then Owly flew down to celebrate too. Owly hated water and so he stayed far away from the pond. At this point bubbles were forming in the water enough for everyone to notice.
“Oh dear!” cried Owly, warning the frogs. The frogs pushed Owly towards the pond. Owly hesitated for a moment but then realized what would happen if he didn’t go. Owly closed his eyes and slowly let the frogs push him towards the pond. Owly jumped into the pond but didn’t dive. Owly was afraid of going down in that deep water.
“But what will happen if you don’t?” Owly’s thoughts argued. “Well come on you’re afraid of water Owly."
“Owly! Vynilla is sinking and she can’t breath.”
“But you’re afraid and remember this water is so cold.”
“Owly!” Owly’s thought scolded him. So before the other thought could argue once more, Owly dived down towards the pond and was looking around for Vynilla. The magical frogs came down after Owly with their water vision. Owly’s thoughts didn’t race anymore but his heart was still racing. Soon Owly was blowing bubbles too. Once the frogs had spotted Vynilla, they all splashed around with excitement. Owly and the frogs pushed Vynilla up towards the surface of the water where they all finally caught their breath. All of a sudden Banana came over with an angry look on his face. He never looked angry but today Banana was angry. Banana slowly approached Owly and the 6 frogs and looked at them harshly.

The Lily Pond Princess Chapter I

Chapter 1 A Story

Once in Georgia a little girl was born. She was named Vynilla; not vanilla -Vynilla. But that was a long time ago. Now Vynilla was ten. She didn’t live with her parents. Vynilla lived with 6 frogs and an owl in a forest where no humans ever came except for Vynilla. At the very end of the forest there was a lily pond and this lily pond was eight feet deep. But the pond always sparkled at night and next to the lily pond every night slept Vynilla.
This is a very odd story about Vynilla so listen carefully. When Vynilla was one a monkey took her away from home. Vynilla did not remember anything about her parents so she asked the monkey who was visiting her what her parents were like. “Horrible,” the monkey said. That was the only thing anyone ever said about her parents. So Vynilla went to Owly the owl to ask for a story without the word “horrible” in it. She climbed up the tree with a big “O” on it which stood for Owly. There was lots of bark on the tree but it was still an unusual tree; of course Vynilla didn’t know why she thought it was an unusual tree - it just seemed unusual.
“Tell me a story about you when you were a kid,” said Vynilla.
“Ok, well when you were a kid,” Owly joked, “me, Banana” - the name of the monkey - “and the frogs always came and visited you at night and the breeze that the fan made felt so good. And then one night Banana grabbed you and took you with us.”
“But what about my parents?” asked Vynilla. “Describe them without using the word ‘ho-‘”
“They were horrible,” interrupted Owly. Vynilla sighed and climbed back down the tree. Vynilla went down to the frogs to ask them for a story - without the word “horrible” in it.
“Ribbit!” Vynilla croaked to the frogs. Six frogs came out of the water and each  frog jumped on a lily pad. “What can we help you with?” croaked a frog. “Tell me a story,” Vynilla pleaded. “We have no story to tell.” admitted the frogs. “Well then let’s swim in the pond!” cried Vynilla and then before you could say trick-or-treat Vynilla had slipped into the pond and was swimming happily.

Listen...

PAY ATTENTION TO THIS POST
The other night I had a dream that I was walking through the forest and I saw a fairy house! I walked up to it and   saw that the fairy house had stairs and a table. Oh and I can’t forget it had a pretty cool bed too. Anyway I said “Hello.” Then I jumped back because I realized there was a fairy in the house and I thought it might be a bad fairy. A little fairy came out and she let me touch her! She came home with me and we built her a fairy house in the back of my house! Too bad I woke up then. It was a dream becoming a dream. But next time hopefully it will be a dream come true. I thought this would be cool for you guys to hear about because I can’t tell you about the history book of fairies. All I can tell you is that there were some pretty magical creatures 1000 years ago. Look below to find directions on how to make the fairy house in my dream:

1.You will need: Big rocks, two big leaves, tiny flat pieces of wood or tiny flat rocks,  a medium sized rock (for the table),  a tiny rock or rocks (for the chairs), shaped wood (shaped so that the stairs barely come through the wood), and a big brick (if you want a roof).
2. Build a wall out of the big rocks.
3. Put the table and chair in between the walls.
4. Build the stairs by stacking them.
5. Place the shaped wood just above the stairs.
6. Put the two leaves on top of each other for the bed and the blanket.
7. Slowly place the brick on top of the rest of the rocks that are above. You are finished! Add any finishing touches.

I want to thank my Aunt Carrie for helping me think of how I would build the fairy house. She is the one who thought of putting a brick on top and thought of building the rocks up for walls. She thought of ideas and my brain helped me make a picture of how to use the brick and rocks to make a two story house fairy house! Now that we are at the end of the post I want to tell you that I LOVE comments and am ready to answer any questions. Thank you for reading!

Yuys Afallon

Yesterday my grandpa sent me a note from the fairies. It was from a fairy named CaitronaShe said that the fairies were working on a fairy book of history like I asked them to. Anyway, Caitrona said the story will take place on an island with beautiful blue and green water surrounding it. The island is called Yuys AfallonIn Yuys Afallon 1000 years ago it had not been discovered by humans so only fairies lived there. Around the areas of the island, elves, ogres, and leprechauns lived there. But that is not the best part. In our language Yuys Afallon is called Avalon Island! I would share the fairy book of history with you guys but the fairies said if everyone knows about them and believes in them it could be bad for them. Just like in my book Prove the Fairy Real.”

Long Beach Aquarium

Sorry I have not posted in so long. I’ve been really busy this summer doing stuff like: swimming, play dates, and more. I hope you enjoy this slideshow of me at the Long Beach Aquarium. My favorite part of the aquarium was touching the diamond rays which look like sting rays but don’t sting. Sorry we didn’t get a picture of the rays but we have lots of other great pictures in the slideshow.

Another one of my favorite parts was touching the moon jellies and the sharks. The diamond rays felt slippery, the moon jellies felt squishy, and the sharks felt rough. You can’t miss out on the touching part - it’s great!

Later, me and Miles each got our own stuffed animal penguin, but we had to pay our mom and dad back. There’s a picture of me and my stuffed animal penguin at the end of the slideshow.

Well, alright, I’ll let you watch the slideshow. Here it is!

Chair

Chair
By Avalon Blumenthal

Chapter 1
Buttercup

Ring ring! The alarm went off and Crenoosy woke up. She turned off the alarm. Today was an exciting day. Crenoosy was going to ride on the Buttercup ship. She and her parents got ready and headed down to the sea to board Buttercup.
Toot! The ship moved and off it rode! At times Buttercup would tip but then the waves would settle down and it would be a smooth ride again. During dinner at least one person a night would spit out their food because they did not like it. Life on the Buttercup was nice and sometimes they would melt butter in a cup for snack. At night the ship would rock back and forth and put all the passengers to sleep very quickly.

Chapter 2
The Storm

In the early morning a storm was throwing Buttercup off track but then the storm died down like the waves did and it was a smooth ride once again. “Iceberg!” yelled the conductor.
Creek! The ship turned hard but still scraped against the iceberg. Then came the tremendous bump and the ship started to sink. By that time all the passengers were awake and on the deck. The captain ran downstairs to get the life boats but to his surprise there were only five life boats! He took the life boats to the deck and loaded as many people as possible.
Chairs were being flung everywhere and only one chair fell into the ocean. Everyone was being flung into the water. The life boats paddled away and the boat was left to sink with many hollering people. Crenoosy and her parents were flung into the water as well. But only Crenoosy landed on the chair.
After the ship had sunk and the life boats were out of sight and everything was gone, she tried to paddle with her hands but it was not easy. She reached into the water and caught fish with her bare hands. She found a stick and used it to cut the fish. She ate the fish very raw. She drank the sea water and that night she slept on the chair.

Chapter 3
The Island

When Crenoosy woke up she was in a small storm. As the storm continued Crenoosy began to see land! When the storm stopped, Crenoosy was a short distance away from an island! She felt a sense of relief.
She paddled over to the island. The chair rocked back and forth while Crenoosy paddled. When she finally made it to the island she felt sad and lonely. She missed her friends, but most of all, she missed her mom and dad. Crenoosy decided that she needed a family so she raced to the children’s adoption center. She met a family and was then adopted by two very nice grownups that had a little boy for Crenoosy to play with. He was just about her age. They became friends and Crenoosy lived a happy life. And that is the end of the tale.

Bunny's Adventure

Bunny woke up one wet and cold morning. There was dew everywhere. It was very silent. The wind blew against bunny’s fur. Bunny shivered. He really did need to run away. If he did not, he would have to stay and work another miserable day serving his wicked owners.
So bunny crept along the fence and dug a hole under the fence. Bunny quickly got on the other side of the fence, then he covered the hole with dirt. Bunny looked far beyond where he was and saw lots of creatures crawling around. Then bunny looked even further and there it was; the place where he grew up down in that wonderful valley.
Bunny stared for a moment then hopped down the path that lead to the magical valley. Ladybugs, squirrels, insects, and all types of animals were running across the path. When Bunny reached the end of the path, there it was; the wide open, magical valley.
It was all his. His father had once owned the valley, but then he died and the valley was given to bunny. But one night a nasty human came to the valley and took Bunny away. Bunny did not remember the way back to his palace. He asked a kind gopher which way to go. The gopher said the palace had been destroyed and the servants and guards had left and the pesky ants took the last royal dessert to their queen to celebrate her birthday.
Bunny was very mad and decided to make a new palace. But the palace had been made out of stone and minerals which had been stolen from the great Marguny, by the most powerful wizard who was now long dead.
But where had the stone and minerals gone? Bunny wondered. The castle had been made with mountains of minerals and stones. If the minerals and stones had been made into a palace, how could they just disappear? Bunny continued to wonder.
Then he saw it; the twinkle on the sand. The sandy path was twinkling. Bunny dug on the twinkling sandy path. The twinkling was buried minerals and stone! Bunny dug and dug. He started to rebuild the glittering palace. He spent his days shining the minerals and stone. Soon part of a palace was glittering. Bunny almost had his palace back!
He was having a wonderful time. The stone and minerals were so shiny! After two months the palace was built. It had a stone path and a new chandelier. Bunny built the royal furniture. He found a very big and soft leaf for the royal bed. Bunny made royal keys for the palace. He found a shiny rock and kept it. He locked the palace and set off to find guards and servants. He looked for many days and finally found them.
The guards and servants were crying and thinking. They still missed the royal bunny.  Bunny cried: “I have come back from the wicked mountains where the nasty human took me. I have built a new palace, so please guard me and serve me.” The guards and servants stood in amazement and did as bunny had told them.
For a while, Bunny was happy, but then he remembered what his father had told him: When you are king like I am, you must adopt a child bunny to be king so when you die there will still be a king. Bunny had been adopted and now it was his turn to adopt someone.
So one day Bunny set out to adopt a child. The child was the last piece to the puzzle. He looked for a long time and then finally gave up. As Bunny sadly walked home, he heard a sobbing noise. He followed the noise and found a boy child. He asked the bunny what was wrong and the child said he was lost. Bunny asked him if he wanted to come to the palace and become the new king when Bunny died and the child said yes.
So Bunny brought the the bunny home. He found out that his name was Carryoky. That was the same name as Bunny’s father!
From that day on, until Bunny died, Bunny and Carryoky lived a very happy life.

Sparkles

This is my new pet, Sparkles. She is a hamster. We got Sparkles because Cheepy passed away and me and Miles were very sad. We cried an entire day.

Sparkles' teeth never stop growing. She has a chewy stick and a chewy puzzle piece that is made especially for small animals to chew on. She is making a burrow in her wheel that she was supposed to run in.

Sparkles is very furry and soft. Sparkles is supposed to live for 2 years.

Here is some advice if you have a pet hamster:

a. When you first get a hamster, don't handle it too much or else they cannot get used to you and they will be frightened.

b. Make sure its food bowl is at least halfway full all the time.

c. Make sure it has enough water.

d. Once you get to know it, make sure it gets attention every now and then.

e. You should get it a little igloo to hide in.

f. Make sure it is cool in your house on a hot summer day or any other hot days.

g. You should get it some bedding to put on the bottom of its cage.

h. If your hamster's cage does not come with a spinning wheel, make sure to get it one so it can get out all of its energy.

i. You should clean its cage once a week.

Pet Cheepy

Me and Cheepy. You can see his food on the right.

This is my new pet Cheepy. Cheepy is a hummingbird. Here is how I got Cheepy: I was watching TV when my mom came rushing in and said, "Pause your show and help Dad move a baby bird!" Me and Miles rushed outside and saw Cheepy. Then I really thought hard; I remembered my art box. I ran inside, dumped all my art supplies out, and brought the box outside. Ever since then I have kept Cheepy in the art box. Cheepy eats banana/water sauce out of a syringe. Today we took Cheepy outside to see if his mom would recognize his cheep. HIS MOTHER RECOGNIZED HIS CHEEP AND CAME DOWN AND FED HIM FOOD!!! The bad thing is Cheepy cannot fly back to his nest so it is up to us to teach Cheepy to fly! Check my blog in the next few days to see a video of Cheepy.

Summer Art Project

Here is an example of my summer art project.

This is a summer art project I did. You can make something like it during the summer. Here are some things you will need:

1. Acorn tops
2. Leaves
3. 1 big stick (for the trunk)
4. Tiny twigs
5. Different colored markers
6. Tape
7. 1 piece of paper

You do not have to make a tree. You can use other things like flower petals and make a different type of plant. Here are some instructions:

1. Make sure to turn the paper vertically so that you will have room for the tall tree (or other plant).
2. Carefully place the stem or the trunk of the plant onto the paper.
3. Tape the trunk or stem on.
4. Tape branches on (if your plant doesn't have any branches, like a flower, you can just tape the leaves or petals on).
5. Tape little things like acorn tops or leaves onto the branches (this will make the plant more realistic).
6. Then you can draw a picture of yourself watering the plant or doing something to help it (i.e. transplanting it).
7. Make sure to draw a sun (a plant can't grow without light!).
8. You can add little details like thinking bubbles, sentences, words, or talking bubbles.

Fairies Continued

Continuing... Fairies also like to take warm baths with dried flower pedals in it. Fairies have sensitive ears, so they can hear humans when they are coming outside (almost always). If you want to see a fairy, you will have to be very quiet when you go outside. Fairies often hide in flowers if they hear a noisy human coming. The letter above is a letter from the fairies. It is about a fairy named Eloise. Eloise lives in Portland. My aunt saw Eloise face to face. She talked to Eloise and then told me all about it. It was very exciting and I wish to see a fairy someday too. I know that if you know a lot about fairies, fairies might be scared to show themselves to you. They are most likely to show themselves to little kids that don't know they are fairies. Lot of fairies are mischievous. Here is some information I found in my Flower Fairy Book:

To be a true friend of the flower fairies you must be kind, loving and helpful
Take care of the animals and plants around you
Have lots of fun and love to laugh
Believe in flower fairies

To find more information about fairies, you can get a book called "The Girls Book of Flower Fairies." It has so much information in it. That's all for now!

Fairy House

If you are interested in fairies, then I have some information to share. This is a picture of my fairy house. It has a bed and a table with a cup of flower pedal water. Some flower pedals are edible. Fairies have their own plant that they like to take care of. They like to live in gardens. They also like to live in potted plants. I don't have room for a garden, so I have a lot of potted plants. Fairies like to throw parties and are always polite. Fairies sort of migrate during the summer. Since it is so hot during the summer where I live fairies like to work in shady places. My fairy friends have gone off to the forest this summer. Sometimes fairy friends will stop off at their houses to visit, so be ready when they do! To be continued...

A Valentine's Day With Clory

Clory was happy because it was Valentine’s Day. She was going to make fifteen valentines for all her family and friends. Clory wrote one for her mom, her dad, her brother, and her sister.

Clory gave them all their valentines. Then she skipped off to school. On her way she saw Crany and Marala. She gave Crany and Marala their valentines then ran ahead to give Rozela her valentine. Rozela said thank you and Clory said you're welcome and galloped off to give her valentines away.

When Clory gave Jason a valentine, Jason’s friends laughed. But when Clory gave the bus driver a valentine, Jason’s friends stopped laughing. When Clory got to school she gave her principle and teacher a valentine.

When it was recess time Clory gave her five best friends their valentines. Clory was so pleased with herself that she had made fifteen valentines and delivered them all. In class the people that did not get to write valentines got chances to while the rest of the class read books. At the end of the day Clory had a big surprise waiting for her.

Since Clory had written and given out fifteen valentines she got fifteen valentines in return.

Grassy Brown and Grassy Green

This is a picture of my two pet grasshoppers in their cage. One grasshopper, which is Grassy Brown, is on the left side of the picture. The other grasshopper, which is Grassy Green, is eating the delicious leaves. He is hard to see because he is green with the green leaves. Another word for this is camouflage. Grassy Brown and Grassy Green got their names from my old pet grasshopper, Grassy. When I was in the back of my house and I was walking towards the front to play with my toys, a huge brown grasshopper jumped directly in front of my face. He reminded me of Grassy because when I first found Grassy he jumped right in front of my face. But this wasn't Grassy because he had spots- Grassy did not. I almost touched the grasshopper with my tongue because I did not see the grasshopper and I was talking. Then the grasshopper got scared and almost jumped on my dad's foot. It's hard to think that my tiny pet grasshoppers will be huge grasshoppers someday- as big as Grassy!

Mothy

This is my pet moth. I don't know if the moth is a boy or a girl, but I named him or her Mothy. Mothy can be seen in the lower right hand corner of this picture (where the circle is). Mothy likes to drink the nectar from the white flowers. I know this from observing moths during the summer. I already have a little game I like to play with Mothy. Whenever I point at Mothy he flies around really quickly and makes me smile. Mothy can be touched, but I have never tried to touch him since he has been in the cage. I found Mothy in the grass at the park. I carefully snuck up behind him and cupped my hands around him. Luckily it was the park across the street from my house so it was very easy to get him home. I quickly walked home with Mothy in my hands. It tickled when he flew around inside of my hands. Mothy sleeps a lot during the day but sometimes he finds time to play. I really feel like Mothy is getting used to me and Miles. We really love him and I think he loves us too.

Chapter 1 Pongo Valley

Pongo Valley is where monsters live. The monsters that live in Pongo Valley are  omnivores. “Hon,” called Aleena.  “What?” called  Freddy.

Well, before we start,  Aleena  is a lady  monster  and Freddy is a  man monster.
So  back  to  the  story.

“I  am  going  to  have  a  baby!”  replied  Aleena. Freddy rushed over as a baby monster popped  out!
“Lets name him Fred,” said  Aleena.
“Yes, let’s  name him Fred,”  said  Freddy.
“I’ll feed him the  berries I just  picked,” said  Aleena.
The  next  month  Fred  was  walking! Fred was happy because he found out he was going to have a baby sister. Fred was also happy because he made four new friends named Reb, Frent, Greela and  Ara. They were all boys.

Four more years passed and Fred’s baby sister was born. Her name was Lucille. Three more years passed and Lucille had no friends except herself. It was no fair. Fred was seven now and he was not sharing his friends with a three year old.
Lucille always got left out in games so she always had to do chores. She would do things like pick berries and sew clothes for her mom.

One day Lucille snuck up on Fred and in front of his friends Lucille yelled, “Bath time for Fred!” Fred was so angry that he chased Lucille to the bath where Aleena was standing. Aleena picked Fred up and put him in the bath. Fred cried as Lucille walked out of the room.

“Daddy.” called Lucille. “Yes.” called Daddy. “Can we read?” said Lucille. “Yes.” said Daddy. “Let’s read The Red Button .” said Lucille. “Ok.” said Daddy.

One day a little red button fell off a shirt .
It rolled in the gutter and it rolled in a shoe.
It rolled in a tunnel and it rolled to you and you picked it up and sowed it on a shirt .

                        THE                        END!”

Meanwhile Aleena had read to Fred “Bear Bus”.

The bear bus travels through the town with little bears in it.
But one day the bear bus came to you and you hopped on it and rowed  away.

               THE                               END!”

Then Fred and Lucille went to bed. The next day Fred ran over to Ara. Ara  was the biggest. “Ara let’s gang up on Lucille.” said Fred. “Ya!” said Ara. “Lucille went to pick berries let’s follow her.”said Fred.

Fred and Ara pulled Lucille’s hair. Lucille got mad! She ran home and told Aleena. Aleena put Fred and Ara in time out.

The next day Lucille made a friend! Fred picked berried and cleaned. So did Ara. Night fell and Lucille and Fred read

               My                        Picture

Then they went to sleep. The next day Fred and Lucille went on a trip. Lucille and Fred and Aleena and Freddie all picked lots of berries for the trip.

Chapter 2 The Long Way to Go

They walked until lunch time. Then they ate their berries. Lucille picked more berries. Soon they came across a lake. Fred pushed Lucille into the lake. Lucille fell with a splash. Fred laughed. Lucille swam.

When Lucille got out she had no hat or berry basket. She was sad. But at least she did not lose her things. Her things were wet. She ran back into the water. She called her parents and brother over. They swam across, got out of the water, and kept walking.

Finally at sundown they got to Grandma’s cabin. “Grandma, Grandma!” They called. Grandma was dressed old fashioned. Grandma was always funny. She wore a bonnet and boots. She said: “Get some dress up on!” So they did.

The monsters spent the night. The next day they had to leave. Grandma gave Lucille a new dress. It had stripes. Well, it wasn’t really a dress, but it was cool anyway. Grandma gave Fred a cape with the letter F on it.

This time they walked day and night... walk... walk... walk... walk... walk... walk... walk.
Lucille was so happy when they got to Grandpa’s house. Grandpa was happy too. It was dark by the time they got there.

“Grandpa’s in his p.j.’s,” said Fred.

Chapter 3 The Wonder

“Get p.j.’s on,” said Grandpa. So they did.

Grandpa wore his puffy slippers. Lucille wore her gown and her puffy hat with curls hanging down. Fred wore his cape with a weird onesie thing and a puffy hat. Grandpa laughed. Everyone was so happy. It was like Christmas.

Lucille’s dress had snowflakes on it and Fred’s pajama’s had a snow mountain on it. The next day...

When Lucille and Fred woke up, they looked out the window and screamed! White covered the island everywhere. The grown ups came rushing in.

Chapter 4 The Snowman

“Oh!” exclaimed Grandpa. “This is snow. You see, we grown ups kept it a secret that it would snow.”

Lucille and Fred had never seen snow and never knew what it was.

“SNOW!” screamed Lucille. “Snowman!” screamed Fred. “We see snow! We see snow!” they both sang.

“Let’s make a snowman,” said mom. “And snow angels,” Grandpa added. The snowman was big. The angels were fun.

Snowball fight!

They played all day. Soon the whole area was covered with Lucille and Fred’s snow art. A great thing happened. It snowed even harder. Soon everyone was white.

Chapter 5 Wow!

The wow about this chapter is that it snowed so hard, right? But then the sun comes out. Lucille and Fred become sad and lost and have a cold heart. They are so sad that they SCREAMED!

They screamed so loud that the world went dark! The sun’s heart felt so sad because he thought everyone liked him. The sun did not shine through the rest of December. But the monsters made up a month called sun month. This made the sun happy and shiny. And shinier and shinier until... the whole world lit up and it was sun month.

“Sun month!” screamed Lucille and Fred.

SUN!

Lucille and Fred sent the sun presents to celebrate. The sun wanted to send a gift too, so he made Aleena pregnant! Nine months later she had a little girl. She named her Swirl. Swirl loved the sun and the sun changed. But the wind blew dark clouds into the sky.

“Wind is stronger than sun,” said the horrible wind. Sun took off his sunglasses and started to cry.

“NO!” screamed Lucille and Fred. “Sun is powerful too!” they shouted. They started to Blow! Harder and harder and harder and harder... until sun was powerful too. Sun blew with them and they blew the clouds away.
Sun! Fireworks! They play with the sun! Sun!
The monsters go home. They are a family of five now. They all have friends. They all are happy. They take a family picture.

Chapter 6 Friends!

Sun is good but wind can be good too. Sun is fun. Wind can be fun too. Adventures. Adventures are fun. You are fun. Sun! Sun! Sun! Friends! Love! Monsters!
Fred, Freddie, Swirl, Lucille, Aleena, Grandpa, and Grandma - Pongo Valley.
