  Chapter 1 the wand
A little mouse stood before a wand wondering if he should touch it. He touched it. He started to spin very fast and as he spun he started to turn into a human! But this was not any old human - he was a wizard! When the mouse stopped spinning he was a wizard with a golden robe, blue slippers, a blue hat, and in front of him in his hand was the wand. The wizard’s name was Patch. Patch had to find out whose wand this was and he would do it as a case. Near by there was a river. The wizard set out on his journey on a boat. Patch got out his note pad and wrote:
Blue flowers, Red wand, and...GREEN TUNNEL IN THE MIDDLE OF A RIVER!

Patch ducked under the tunnel. When Patch opened his eyes he was floating on a cloud! Patch jumped off the cloud and floated down and landed on some soft green grass. Patch fell fast asleep. “Yippee! It worked!”

       Chapter 2 The horrible spell!
A witch made Patch fall asleep so she could get the wand. There was only one problem. The wand was under Patch. The witch pulled at the wand. Patch opened one eye! Then closed it. The witch had to kick Patch off the wand. “YES! YIPPEE! I GOT THE WAND, I GOT THE WAND BOO HOO TO Patch.” Then Patch opened his eyes and started to chase the witch. But Patch tripped over a rock. Patch picked up the rock and put it on the side of the path. Then Patch looked at where the rock used to be and saw a paper. Patch picked up the paper. It read: Patch, jump to the highest cloud. Patch did not know what this meant, but Patch kept the clue and jumped very high just as the witch flew up. Patch jumped from cloud to cloud. The witch dived down. Patch jumped down, but without the magic wand! Patch started to fall! Patch swooped toward the witch and grabbed the wand. He floated slowly down. Then ran to the wind and said: “Dear wind, so kind you are. Please fix up a storm and blow it wherever the witch goes.” And right then the wind howled and made a storm that darted after the witch. On Patch’s way he saw a yellow shoe that was very small. Soon he came upon a castle that had the letter “G” embroidered on it. A beautiful girl came out of the castle saying: ”Thank you for finding my shoe.” The girl smiled and said: “If you ever get lost.... ” She paused. “Wish for a path.” As Patch continued he got very lost. He remembered when he ONCE had stood in front of a wand. He cried, then remembered the mysterious girl. But then he tripped. He got up and grabbed the wand. Then he wished for a path.

Chapter 3 A way out

Instantly a golden path appeared. Patch walked up the path. It led to a cottage with laughter coming out of it: “Ha, ha, ha!” Patch wanted to find out what was funny so badly, so he slowly walked up the path. He entered and looked inside to an old man that was not on the phone and neither did he have company. He was all alone. Patch gathered all his courage and said: ”What are you laughing at?” The old man turned around and said : “I have an imaginary friend. He tells lots of jokes, want to hear one?” “Ok.” said Patch. “Listen,” said the old man. A second later the old man laughed out loud: “Ha,ha good one.” Patch could not help laughing even though he did not know what the joke was. “By the way if you ever feel lonely ask the wind for a friend.” Patch said: “Bye.” Then he walked slowly down the path. The old man smiled then laughed again. Patch smiled back. He would miss the old man. Soon Patch was lonely and asked the wind for a friend. “Yes a friend.” said the wind. Then: “ha, ha!” the old man was back. But the old man was not there; Patch was imagining the old man and he could not stop. Then Patch was not lonely and continued his journey. Then Patch went up a narrow yellow path. It went up towards the sun. Patch saw a fairy. It was the fairy of the sun! “Thank you for returning my wand.” Patch had returned the wand thanks to his friend’s help.
